| Take Interstate 470 to Highway 285 West towards Conifer and Bailey. |
| The last hill you go down just before Bailey is Crow Hill. It is listed with steep grades and sharp curves. |
| As you come down the hill into the town of Bailey, right at the bottom of the hill on your left is a propane filling station. Turn left at that station. (On the other corner is a small restaurant). |
| Stay on this mountain road which initially starts off paved and then turns to gravel and dirt. |
| Go 12 miles and take all the forks to the right and you will arrive at Wellington Lake. |
| There are some signs posted along the way for Wellington Lake but you won't see them until you're about half way there on the mountain road. |
| Do not turn right and go into the lake property. Stay on the road and go across the dam. |
| Follow the road around the lake until you come to a gate on the right (it will be about 1½ miles |
| Take highway 24 to Woodland Park |
| Take a right at the north fork, highway 67, to Deckers. |
| At Deckers, go straight across the bridge over the South Platte River towards Buffalo Creek. |
| After you cross the bridge, it will be about 10 miles to the next turn. |
| On the left will be a dirt road numbered 550. You'll see the number after you turn on the road going west. |
| This is also the road going to the Buffalo Creek and Meadows campgrounds. If you miss the turn, you will end up in Buffalo Creek. Turn around and come back about 3 miles to the turn. |
| Stay on the main dirt road and follow the signs to Buffalo Creek and Meadows Campgrounds. |
| There is one fork that you come to and you stay left (the right fork goes to Bailey). This fork is about 5 miles after you turn onto 550. |
| About 3 miles after the fork, you will arrive at Wellington Lake. Go left and follow the road that is next to the lake. |
| After 1 1/2 miles, you will see the gate for Camp Firewalker on the right. Turn in here and follow the road to Camp Firewalker. |
